I am trying to keep my family busy this summer. Sometimes sitting around being lazy and enjoying each others company sounds great, but then I remember what we will be missing this year and I just can't picture it the same way.
I think keeping busy is going to be the best way for me and my babies to have a happy summer.
So far I have a couple of week long vacations planned and some short weekenders.
The one I am most excited about is our week in Wildwood.
We went back in 2008 with our oldest daughter and came home pregnant with little princess #2.
This year we are renting a house and are spending a week there with my parents, brothers, sister-in-law and cousin.
Crazy FUN.
The next week we are headed up to Maine.
My sister goes with her husband every year and this year they invited us.
4th of July weekend we are going to Pennsylvania to hang out by the pool and participate in a parade.
I am trying to work in a long weekend to visit my brother down by DC. I really want to take the girls to the Smithsonian Zoo and I know they would love spending some time with their cousins.
Between all of that and a week of day camp, and all our summer birthday parties and barbeques...
Too busy to be sad. That is our new goal.
