TuTu Tuesday 6/18

I am signed up for my very first show at the end of the month!

My etsy shop is being majorly neglected.

My sewing room looks like a tulle monster threw up all over.

But,

I am getting a lot done and hope to make lots of sales!

Planning a CassidyChristy re-vamp in July!

Stay tuned...

If a tree falls in the woods...

If a girl writes on a blog and no one reads it...

ok, so someone looks at it.

and

I do have one follower...

HI BETH!

JUNE!!!

June is, by far, our craziest month.

First we had pre-school wrap up.

Last day celebrations, 4 year old graduation, end of the year carnival, final meeting/pot luck dinner for all of us board members...

Then chickie #2's dance photo shoot.

Then the photo shoot for #1

Today her kindergarten class had their end of the year
"writer's celebration" where the kiddos got to read their autobiographies to all of their friends and the parents.

She did awesome!
Tonight was our first dress rehearsal. Recital is Friday!

The second dress rehearsal and recital is next week.

Kindergarten moving up ceremony is in a week and then
NO MORE SCHOOL!

We also have Father's Day to deal with.
The girls and I have talked a lot about it and we have planned
an event filled day.

Birthday party
Graduation party
Baby shower

I'm sure I am forgetting something...

July on the other hand
Starts with a vacation, ends with a vacation!

Bathroom: Part 3

Well, I painted the wainscot. I used a can from my sisters house called "Restful White".

AKA

Really light yellow!

I had planned to use purple and gray in there, same as my bedroom, but much lighter.

Looked like I was using yellow and gray instead.
I actually like it better.

I found a really cute set of coordinating fabric on
etsy @ hootcouture.

The wall behind the sink is 8 ft. tall, 4 ft. wide, and the only flat wall.

I had to put something on it.

This mirror is one I originally bought to go above my bed.
I didn't really like it there, but though it was a good size for the bathroom.

By some miracle, two months later, I was able to find picture frames that matched the mirror.

I cut up some of my super cute fabric and put it in the frames.

Added a couple of shelves to store my girly stuff.

 Loving it.

Sleepy Saturday

Stayed in bed with my chickies until 10 o'clock today.

On Saturday mornings they like to climb into my bed and turn on cartoons and just laze around.

Today we have a photo shoot for the big ones dance class.

Then a birthday party

And mommy has A TON of laundry to do.

And sorting old baby stuff because I signed up for a giant mommy swap.

And sewing because the are allowing vendors this year.

Also, I want to shampoo the carpet.

And I am finishing up my bathroom for tomorrow's post.

I probably shouldn't have stayed in bed so late. I will be paying for it later.

Worth it?

Yup

Goodbye Puppies.

Sophie's puppies are all in their new homes.

They were cute, playful, loving...

But, I can't say I am sad to see them go.

All four have gone to good homes where I know they are getting lots of love and attention.

And it's nice to just have my ONE dog again.

Wishing you long, happy, healthy lives

TuTu Tuesday 6/4

I am loving this weeks
TuTu Tuesday!

I have been wanting to make a tutu dress to put in my store, CassidyChristy, for awhile.

Most of the tutu dresses that you see on Etsy are longer versions of a tulle strip skirt sewn/tied around elastic or a crochet headband with ribbon to tie around the neck. They are adorable .

I wanted to find a way to make one with a lining, sewn,
more fun, less formal.

I had a lightbulb moment.

I let my babies pick out their own colors.

I am in love with these dresses!

Before I whip up more and list them I am going to toss one in the washer.

Imagine, a tutu you can machine wash...

Digging Dirt, Drinks & Dinner

This weekend started out productive.

We got the spot for the garden roto-tilled.

The girls and I sifted and pulled *most* of the roots out and moved our radish, carrot, pumpkin, tomato and watermelon spouts to their new home.

Saturday night my brothers and sisters took me out to a hibachi place for my birthday dinner... and drinks. Both were great.
The company was greater .

Grandma and Grandpa watched the kiddies.

Sunday was a complete bust.

I slept way too late.

Tried working on party invitations with my sister and had a ridiculous series of computer malfunctions.

No DIY project.

I didn't get any chores done.

Had a bit of family DRAMA.

Oh well...

Saturday was pretty awesome.
